Laura Bailey, DVM

Biography

My name is Dr. Laura Bailey. I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2002. Then I decided to go to veterinary school at Ross University on St. Kitts in the West Indies. It was a life changing experience living on a small island in the Caribbean for three years while attending veterinary school. I graduated from Ross in 2007 and started working at a veterinary clinic in West Texas. After about a year, I moved to Houston, TX and began working at an AHAA certified animal clinic. I also did some relief work at neighboring veterinary clinics in my spare time. I missed living in the Caribbean and decided to move to the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2009. I currently live on a farm property in the USVI with my husband, son, and twenty three animals. We have dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, tortoises, and a mini pig. I turned the big red barn on our property into a veterinary clinic. I see appointments in my barn and also volunteer at our local animal shelter when needed.
