My cat is coughing I don't know if it is a hair ball cough or asthma

Poor Coco! He could be coughing due to asthma or a hairball, but it could also be to cardiac disease or a respiratory illness. I would have him seen by a vet for this coughing. The vet can do a physical exam, blood tests, urinalysis, and x-rays to diagnose what is causing his coughing so he can be treated.

    Yes, it could be either of these two things! If Coco is coughing a lot, I would suggest taking him in for a check up, particularly if he is not eating, or acting lethargic. Asthma can be treated with inhalers that your vet can prescribe. If it seems more like a hairball, your vet can get Coco started on some hairball remedies. Good luck!
