Y dog seems to have a new “tic” he shakes his head almost constantly it I have cleaned, inspected and flushed them. Why is he doing this? OES 9 yrs old, overweighted besides arthritis healthy.

Poor Kodiak! It's possible that Kodiak could have an ear infection of the external, middle or inner ear, but other conditions such as neurologic problems (like focal seizures) or a brain tumor are also possible. The only way to get to the bottom of this issue is with a thorough physical exam and some diagnostic testing. Since it sounds as though he's uncomfortable and bothered by this issue, it would be best to have him checked out by his vet sooner rather than later. I hope that all goes well!

    Thank you for contacting PetCoach with your question about Kodiak. It could be that he has an ear infection, but it's a middle or inner ear infection that cannot be seen without an otoscope. Clearly the ear is bothering him. I'd have him seen by a vet in the morning for this problem. I hope this helps!
