I took my dog to the groomer for a bath and summer haircut on Saturday and since then he has been very itchy. I have tried itch soothing spray and 20mg of benadryl (he weighs 20lbs). Both seem to help some but I'm not sure if I should be concerned if it continues for a few days. I gave him another bath on Sunday thinking that maybe he was allergic to the shampoo ghey used at the groomer but that hasn't helped. They cut his hair very short which may be the problem . Please advise. Thank you!

Thank you for contacting Petcoach with your question about Chewbacca. It could be he has experienced an allergic reaction from something at the groomer. Typically allergic reactions require stronger medications such as steroids. I'd take him into a vet now to get this treated. By the way, he is adorable!
