Our puppy (12 week old Shih Tzu) just stepped on an Asp (a poisonous little caterpillar that are common in Texas). We are wondering if there is any remedy that can make him feel better.

Hello. The principal is the same for people. Use tape to try & remove any remaining embedded hairs. Then, gently wash the area with soap & water. Dry the skin with a hair dryer on low. Using isopropyl alcohol & ice packs can be very soothing or you can make a paste of baking soda & water. You can make a little bandage of this. If Todd still seems very uncomfortable, then you may need to see your veterinarian for additional treatments like a steroid injection. I do hope he is feeling better soon & thanks for contacting PetCoach.
