Hi, my dog Bear is around 13 years old and has been acting strange lately. He has been showing aggression which is unusually for him, he has also been very weak and has needed assistance for little things like, getting on to the lounge and going up and down steps. We find this strange because he’s usually full of energy. We think the problem may be that we suspect he act a small portion of a macadamia nut around 15 hours ago.

A macadamia nut would not cause Bear to be weak and show aggression. I suspect he is in pain, causing him to be weak and need help getting up and down stairs. Pain would also make him aggressive as well. He could have pain in his hips or back. Unfortunately there are no OTC pain relievers you can give him. Many human ones are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I think it's best that he sees a vet today to get this diagnosed and treated. Please take him into one now. Best of luck.
