My dog has been heaving all morning. When she was finally able to throw up, it was white and foamy with little specs of blood. Should I be concerned? Our vet is closed on the weekend and the ERVet has a 4 hour wait. I can’t imagine waiting in a car for 4 hours would be good for her mental state.

Poor Scarlett! Vomiting blood is never good, and it can have some pretty serious causes. I cannot say if she will be ok or not without seeing her in person, and vomiting blood is something that should always be checked out by a vet right away. While I understand thinking waiting in the car isn't good for her mental state, vomiting blood is much worse for her physical state. In this case, I think it's best she sees a vet now. Best of luck.
