My 9 week old puppy has very soft stools w/ red jelly-like substance in it & stool is light brown. Stool has been like this for last 8hrs She eats 3x/day. Each meal consists of kibbles & a little bit of white rice. One meal includes a small portion of raw ground beef. My puppy is still playful when she’s awake & maintains her appetite. Sleeps intermittently throughout the day for 2-4 hrs at a time. No signs of distress such as lethargy/vomiting. What is causing the red mucus in her stool?

It looks like there is blood in Kika's stool. This could be caused by intestinal parasites, which are very common in puppies and also causes soft stool. It could also be the raw beef you are feeding. Raw meat should not be fed to dogs, it's not safe as it can cause E coli and Salmonella poisoning. It also provides no health benefits to the dog, and puts you are risk of getting sick too as the bacteria lives on a dog's tongue for hours after feeding. If she licked you on the face, you could get sick too. I recommend stopping giving her the raw meat, and have her seen by the vet. Bring in a sample of her stool for the vet to check for worms. If she starts vomiting, stops eating, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet immediately as she could have something more serious like parvovirus. She will not be old enough to be fully vaccinated against it. I hope this helps!
