Hello, I am devastated. My beautiful tabby cat, "Honey" died on her own at 1 a.m. Sunday. She had lung cancer. She was bloated with fluid and could not breathe. She was on her side with eyes staring as if in shock. A short time later she was dead. "Lap of Love" was coming to put her to sleep Monday. I feel so bad. I loved her so much. I will never forgive myself. Do you think she suffered or did the coma protect her and prepare her for death? Thank you. Linda

I am so sorry about the loss of Honey, Linda. It is always devastating to lose a beloved pet. Without seeing her in person, I cannot say for certain, but if she was in a coma, then I would suspect she didn't feel anything. Please look after yourself and take the time to grieve her passing. Again, please accept my condolences for your loss.
