i give my chinchilla a bath outside of his cage and when i put him back in his cage he goes to the same corner and sticks his nose through the bars while squeaking and sneezing, sometimes biting the bars of his cage, this only lasts for like 5 minutes after his bath and then he’s fine. or if i come up to his cage and pat him he comes right over to me as if nothings wrong. maybe the dust is irritating him?

Thanks for reaching out about Bindi. It is definately possible he is getting dust up his nose and sneezing it out. You could try a different brand of dust. If nasal discharge is present, a veterinary visit is recommended as dental disease or an upper respiratory infection are possible. Good luck.
