My puppy of 6 months started with hard stool and at the end they will turn soft at the end. He was eating good but had loss some appetite I had to be there in the same room for him to eat his 4 cups of kibble at night. And next day at out no where he had straight up diarrhea so I feed him rice and chicken breast for diner and in the morning of next day I found threw up and many time diarrhea in the kennel. I took him to the vet and they only gave metronidazole 250mg and he hasn’t poop in 2 days.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Billy. It is not uncommon for a dog not to defecate for a period of time after being treated for diarrhea. If he is eating normally again without vomiting, I suspect that he will defecate again soon. If he is still vomiting, not eating or has more diarrhea, then he will need to see his veterinarian again. I hope this information helps!
