My dog consistently hacks/coughs. Sometimes he vomits phlegm or white foam. The vet ruled out kennel cough and an xray confirmed "bronchial patterns". We give him benadryl every day and that helps for a bit. He was prescribed tamiril p but its a sterroid and not for long term use.

Without seeing Shredder in person I can't say for this certain but a bronchial pattern could indicate chronic bronchitis. You can speak to his vet to see if bronchial dilators may be indicated in his case.
