Hi I recently got a new chinchilla and during the bonding process to my other chinchilla, there was a small fight. That left the smaller new chinchilla with what I'm thinking is a torn or split lip. What I want to know is what I should do?

Thanks for reaching out about Smokey and including photos. If the lip is torn, sutures early can improve healing. If a small lesions, should heal well. If any white pus is noted, antibiotics might be needed. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Good luck.
