My dog seems like she doesn't feel good. She drank water for an unusually long time today but her nose is bone dry now. She is urinating fine. I have been giving her probiotic powder and the first day it worked amazing! She perked right up. Second day too. Now, on the third day, it isn't doing much. I have gradually introduced her new food over the span of two weeks now. I haven't given her her yearly vaccine yet and I gave her wormer three days ago. Help! Pixie, Shih-Tzu, 2 years old, female.

Poor girl. These symptoms of having a dry nose, increased drinking, and lethargy are very vague unfortuantely so it is difficult to tell exactly what may be going on with Pixie here. I think its best to go ahead and schedule her an appt with your vet so that a complete physical exam can be done and possibly even bloodwork to look for clues as to what is causing her illness. If everything checks out okk, then the vet will likely recommend going forward with her yearly vaccines, since you say she is likely due.
I do hope that everything turns out ok for your pet Pixie moving forward. Best wishes and take care. : )
