I just rescued a 5 year old male ferret. He was living outside in not so great conditions. I brought him home and cleaned him up. Right away he began eating and drinking. I also noticed him to be very playful and happy. How ever he has a foggy eye and has been squinting. Is this a symptom of old age or should I be more concerned? Could this effect my other ferrets?

Thanks for reaching out about Cedric and including photos. This depends if the cloudiness in a cataract or corneal trauma. Neither is age dependent. A veterinary visit would be recommended to assess. Probably not contagious.
Good luck.
