Hi, My 8 year old 16 pound male AussieDoodle mini was fine yesterday and played fetch outside for a long time - but later in the day and all day today he is reluctant to put a lot of weight on his back left leg. I checked the pads and between his toes and felt around and put his leg joints through their range of motion. The tendon on the back of his leg is intact and seems fine. But he seemed to have discomfort when I massaged the muscle along the top side of his leg between the knee and hip.

It may be Tofu has overdone it. I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a leash, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.
