Hi, my guineapig has alwasy been a little bit fatter than a normal piggie but i have noticed lately that i can feel his bones with just a tiny squish on his stomach and he has two little patches on the side of his stomach that are bold. He is still acting completely normal and is eating a lot like normal but he just seems more skinny and its worrying me. He is turning four this march and i dont know if its just him ageing or if something is wrong. Please help

Thanks for reaching out about Otis. As a middle aged guinea pig, there could be multiple causes for weight loss. Heart disease, kidney problems, gastrointestinal concerns, dietary deficiencies, dental disease, are all possible. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Good luck.
