My new puppy is having trouble urinating. She’s going in little drops frequently. But in the car ride home she did fine with no accidents for four hours. After we got home she’s urinating everywhere but online in little drops. I’m scared she has a UTI. What could it be?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Hazel. Anytime you acquire a new pet, it is important to have an examination by a veterinarian. A urine sample can be tested at this time. It can be hard to differentiate puppy behavior from disease without testing the urine. Based on these results, medication can be prescribed if a urinary tract infection is found. Rarely puppies will have congenital disorders causing the urine to leak. This is rare though. I hope this information helps!
