Greetings. I recently noticed change in Tom's behaviour. He seems to be lacking a lot of energy. He does eat, drink water as well as purr and he doesn't mind being pet. What could be the problem and is there a possibility he was somehow poisoned? I can't check him to the vet because he's an outdoor cat and I am working most of the time. What can I do to help him? Is he going to survive? I had a cat with similar symptoms that unfortunately passed. Please help and thank you.*photo of Tom attached*

Poor Tom. Lacking in energy can be due to an illness, but because it's a common symptom of many illnesses, I can't say what is causing it. Since he is outdoor, it could also be that he's injured. I would see if you can find a vet who can come to your house to check him out, as he does need veterinary care.
