I have a rescue yorkie that I have had for about 5 1/2 months. There has been 2 occasions during that time where I have seen him swaying back and and his little head was wobbling. He had to sit down at first then he laid down but it continued for a while. I noticed when he walked he was kind of going side ways. Hey he rescue said he was between 3 and 4 years old. I checked his ears and they seem fine no smell. He is very skidish and wouldn’t go thru doors at first I think he was abused. Ideas

Poor guy. This breed is high risk for having a condition called a portosystemic (liver) shunt that causes unexplained neurological symptoms like this. Drunken walk (ataxia) is one of the symptoms we often see. I would highly recommend at least taking him in to your local vet for some baseline bloodwork to check his liver enzymes. The vet can also do a thorough exam of his ears and make sure there is no debris deep in the canal, which would not be visible without special instrumentation (otoscope) that your vet carries. I hope that get to the bottom of your pet Mansy Man's weird neurological symptoms soon! Best of luck and take care.
