My cat has been throwing up green liquid for about a day now. When he tries to eat, he gets sick again. He has not pooped since this morning. Is there anything i can do at home to help him?

If he is behaving normally otherwise, you can try withholding food for 12-24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte during the fast. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts, Begin with 1 tablespoon every hour and gradually increase the amount if there is no vomiting. Feed bland until vomiting has ceased for 48 hours before transitioning slowly to the regular diet. Symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian include lethargy, persistent vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. There are no OTC medications you can give at home to treat vomiting in cats.
