My sweet rescued pit bull ate half of a leather belt yesterday! He has not been his usual fun self since. His nose is still cold. He’s still eating but not as much as usual. Usually when I give him a milk bone he gobbles it up. Now he just tentatively takes it and nibbles on it. What should I watch for that would be an indication that I need to get him to a vet? (I have not been outside my house except to pick up groceries ordered online since 3/17.)

If the decrease in appetite continues for more than 48 hours or if Skooter starts to vomit I'd worry about the potential for an intestinal obstruction. Your veterinarian is probably still seeing emergencies, or if not they can refer you to an emergency hospital. Most veterinary hospital are providing curbside service right now so they will come and get Skooter from the car so that there is minimal contact.
