My 7 year old cat recently has strange eating behavior. She eats dry normally twice daily. A week ago she decided one morning she didn’t want the dry food. So I gave her canned which she devoured. I decided to try mixing canned in her dry which worked for a week. She now has decided that she’s not interested with them being mixed together. So I now have them separate. She still doesn’t seem that interested in the dry but is eating some. I have a vet appt scheduled. But should I be worried?

It could be Gabby has a dental problem making it painful for her to eat dry food and favor the canned food. Canned food is easier on the teeth. The vet can check her teeth and determine if there is a dental problem causing this behavior. I hope this helps!
