Hello, due to corona virus we are anxious to travel to the vets, however we can do if it is necessary. Today my dog was play fighting with another dog and on the way home we noticed a scratch very close to his eye. I cleaned it with wet cotton pads and applied a little bit of Leucillin (antiseptic safe for eyes). He seems to be normal, just laying in the garden and the room, responsive and well, apart from the scratch obviously. Is there anything else I can do? Thank you very much.

Watch Egie for any signs that the eye itself was injured such as squinting, redness to the sclera or excessive tearing. As long as the injury is only on the skin, your pup can probably heal on his own. If the eye itself is injured, havehim examined quickly. Have him wear an elizabethan collar at all times. Until the wound is healed, no more play dates. I am not familiar with Leucillin but as long as it is safe for the eyes, you can apply the ointment for the next 1- 2 days then stop. I hope this helps.
