We have been to the emergency vet twice and the regular vet twice and 2000 dollars later still no answers. Our 8 year old rottie shepherd mix spontaneously starting coughing hacking and frantically eating weeds and grass last week. Due to her breed they immediately xrayed her stomach to look for GVD. There was a build up of gas and lots of foreign material that presented a concern but after repeateded xrays it showed the contents were moving. I think it may be an esophageal issue.

Thank you for contacting PetCoach with your question about Riley. I'm sorry you are having problems with him and not getting answers. That must be very frustrating for you! It could be an esophageal issue and it may be further testing would be a good idea. I'd speak to her vet about doing an endoscope of her esophagus and stomach to try to diagnose what is causing her issue. I hope this helps!
