My bearded dragons two front legs are swallon and one back leg i took her to the vet and still no change

Hello, sorry to hear about Spice. It sounds like she may be having metabolic bine disease from some dietary deficiencies. Other causes may be due to rough flooring or substrate in its cage. Your veterinarian may have recommended some changes in her diet, however metabolic bone disease may carry a poor prognosis as it is challenging to correct this disease if it is too advanced. It will take quite some time also, to see improvement. Best of luck!

Just found a newborn kitten under our families trailer, we looked around but no mom cat anywhere. Its been a couple hours already with no signs of the mother cat and the kitten still has the placenta and cord attached, what should I do? It's late at night and I fear that if I leave the kitten outside it might die from either the cold or the snakes and other wild animals? We've tried calling vets and animal controls but the ones in our area are closed and the others say out of their district.

Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. The most important thing for this kitten is warmth. If you already have the kitten on a heating blanket on low, you need to get some nutrition into it. You can purchase a kitten replacer at any pet store & attempt to get a little milk into the baby every hour. I find the best way to do this is to cut off the corner of a clean makeup sponge, soak it in the milk, & kittens usually can latch onto a corner. You can then take some dental floss & place a knot 1/2 way between the placenta & body wall. Cut just beyond the knot leaving it tied on the umbilical cord & throwing out the placenta. If you can get a couple of small meals into the kitten, you can leave it for the night. Then tomorrow, start calling vets, rescues, anyone you know that loves cats, & hopefully someone will be willing to foster this tiny baby. I wish you much luck. Take care.

My 2 months gsd puppy eaten down lizard yesterday!!! What to do now?? He also eats his own poop sometimes!! How to make him to not eats this type of things.??Plz plz help!

He is a puppy and they just tend to do these silly things. The best thing to do is to watch him closely and tell him no when he eats something inappropriate and give him a dog toy instead. You can also buy some for-bid powder to put on his food to help make his poop taste bad. It works on some dogs but not all to help break the habit of eating his own poop. I hope this helps!

I have a 6 month old bearded dragon who's digging and scratching sand then lying on viv floor under the hammock and she's really cold, she been doing this for 3 days

Check the temperature in her enclosure. Ideal would be about 76 F (24C) on the cool side to about 86 F (30C) n the warm side. Her basking spot should range between 90 and 100 F (32-37.7 C). Young beardies should not be kept on sand as it can pose a risk of impaction or obstruction if they inadvertently ingest enough during feeding. Use reptile carpet, slate or paper towels until she is older or feed her outside of the enclosure. If the behavior persists, have her examined by your veterinarian or an experienced herp vet to diagnose infection or injury.

My bearded dragon started shedding on his tail and his head quite suddenly and I just noticed today he has a few red dots around his right ear

I don't know if you tried posting a photo with your question but it did not come through. I apologize but we are having a glitch in the system. I will do my best to help you despite not having a photo. What you are describing sounds like red mites. My best recommendation is to get him to a reptile vet for treatment. You will also need to thoroughly clean the enclosure. You can certainly try home treatment first and if it doesn't work you will need to take him to the vet. Please refer to this link on how to go about treating Zeke and the enclosure. http://www.anapsid.org/mites.html Hope this helps. Best wishes.

I have a bearded dragon and i think she has had a prolaps and was wondering what i should do

A prolapse in a bearded dragon should be considered an emergency. Max needs to be examined by your veterinarian or an experienced herp vet. Severe prolapses may require surgical correction. The underlying cause (impaction, parasites, etc.) must also be diagnosed and treated to prevent recurrence. In the meantime, keep him on moist, clean paper towels. Make a paste with table sugar and water. apply it to the vent for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with sterile saline and apply a sterile lubricant until you can get Max to your vet.

I’ve had my iguana for 2 week, he’s Approximately 2 months old and over the past 3 days his skin has started getting really dark green almost black, what does this mean?

Check the basking temperature and temps on the cool and warm sides. The darkening color may be due to low temps. An iguana will darken, when necessary, to absorb the maximum amount of available heat. The link below has an incredible amount of information regarding all aspects of keeping iguanas. http://www.anapsid.org/iguana/index.html

Bearded dragon is having consistent problems in left eye. His eye has a hard crusting underneath I can not soak off! Have tried for days. Don’t want to pull it off and hurt him. His eye gets clear sticky fluid building up in the bottom of his eye. Have tried terimycin and repti rinse. He has a day and night lamp, baking is around 100 , cool side is 75. Has a Zoo med UBV bulb and timers of 12 hours on each. Eats crickets, superworme, lettuce and pellets. Substrate is reptile carpet.

Check the humidity level. For beardies, it should range between 30 and 40%. Too high or too low can predispose Jank to infection or shedding complications. If a 20-30 minute warm compress doesn't help, have him examined by your veterinarian or experienced herp vet. A physical exam may diagnose or rule out abscess/infection or tumor. In either case, you'll need a vet to dispense medication or to pursue additional diagnostics (blood work, biopsy, aspirate, etc).

My bearded dragon , Lightning just moved to from my fathers house to my house. I have been trying to feed him veggies , Fruits , And Superworms and he is not seeming hungry or willing to eat ( he came to my place on Monday and he has also not pooped during his time here) I am wondering if maybe he is just adjusting to his new environment or maybe he is not even hungry since he ate on Monday (he normally eats every day thought) I am just getting a bit worried. besides this he has been alright

The stress associated with new surroundings can certainly affect appetite. Low temperatures can also affect activity, appetite and digestion in reptiles. Give Lightning a few days to acclimate. Confirm adequate temps, both basking and ambient, in his enclosure. You can also survey the area around the cage for any negative stimuli, reducing or eliminating them if possible. Continue to offer fresh greens, fruits and appropriately sized prey. Warm soaks in a 50/50 solution of water and unflavored PediaLyte may treat or prevent mild dehydration. The soaks will also warm him up and, if you massage his abdomen during the soaks, they can stimulate defecation.
