Hello and thank you for contacting PetCoach. Depending on vaccination program a puppy should be vaccinated twice or three times in the first year. Most often, a puppy will get his first vaccination at the age of about 8 weeks and the vaccine is repeated 2-4 weeks later. Then, the dog needs a booster every 12 months. If the vaccination program is started very early, at about 6 weeks of age, there is also a third vaccine administered at 15-16 weeks of age. Some vets include kennel cough vaccine in the program, but it depends on individual circumstances.
