Whats the best method of breeding to get english bulldog pregnant? AI/Natural breeding? I bred my english bulldog once naturally and she had 9 beautiful puppies. But i searched on the internet about this topic many say that bulldog can’t be bred naturally and the size of the litter will be small if bred naturally? Thanks

For bulldogs I recommend AI, working with a veterinarian who ideally has the ability to run progesterone in hospital to help with optimal timing for the breeding. You're going to have statistically better success with AI - the specific technique used (vaginal vs cervical vs surgical insemination) will depend on the type and quality of semen you're using (fresh, chilled, or frozen), as well as the age and health history of the female. It sounds like you had good luck with natural breeding in the past, but AI is going to give you statistically better outcomes. Here's a link to a page from the AKC that summarizes the different techniques pretty well. I recommend you find a veterinarian you trust who has experience with breeding, and they can help talk you through the different methods to determine which is best for your specific breeding pair. https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/dog-breeding/deciding-best-method-artificial-insemination/ Hope this helps. Good luck!
