We have new kittens; 12 weeks. My daughter says she saw one eat something small and black from the floor. I have no idea what it was and he dry heaved several times afterwards for about a minute. Now he appears back to normal. Should I bring him into a vet?

Hello and thank you for contacting PetCoach. As long as Forest is acting normally and is not heaving you can monitor him at home for the next few hours. It sounds that he ate something that irritated his throat, maybe he was bitten by an insect in the mouth or throat. However, if he continues to heave or becomes lethargic, you should take him to your local vets for an appointment.
