Cat (3 1/2- year-old DSH, F, spayed, 9.3lb, vaccines up to date, Revolution-treated, no health issues) brought in cooked meat gristle from outside. Has cat proof fence & cannot leave the yard. Have no idea how meat got here or how much she ate. No symptoms as yet, but seasonings could be poison, ditto cooked bone fragments, also chance it was deliberately poisoned? She has annual physical tomorrow, no symptoms as yet- Can this wait? Have saved gristle for testing.

Hello and thank you for contacting PetCoach. As long as Sekhmet is acting as normal, she is not lethargic, not vomiting, not refusing her food you should monitor her at home. If it was a fresh piece of meat / gristle she should be able to digest it without any problems. Seasonings used for cooking are not toxic to cats, ulness contain large amounts of garlic and onion. However, if you notice any worrying symptoms (lethargy, vomiting, lack of appetite), you should not wait until tomorrow and get Sekhmet checked by your local vets right away.
