My 13 year, 24.4kg mix breed dog has a brain tumour. She is on 30 mg phenobarbitone twice daily (as well as 500mg levetiracetam 3x daily) to control her seizures as well as a few other medicines. I just fed her her dinner and meds and am having a melt down as i can’t remember whether I gave her the phenobarbitone. Is it better I miss a dose or to give her one but risk double dosing? Thank you for your help.

Hello and thank you for contacting PetCoach. 30mg of phenobarbitone twice a day is not a very high dose for Gum Gum's weight therefore you can give her another tablet now. It will not cause any problems even if it was a double dose for this evening. You should continue with other medications as normal.
