I rescued a stray about a week ago, she seems to have a respitory issue with sneezing and congestion, would steroids help her? I cant get her to another Vet for 3 days. I have steroids from a similar weight dog that I had to put down about 2 months ago.

I would not give Lilly steroids that have not been prescribed to her. Sneezing and congestion are likely caused either by an infectious, inflammatory, allergic problem, or another cause. It is best to have her examined by a veterinarian and they may wish to put her on antibiotics or an anti-histamine. Steroids can make the problem much worse especially if there is an infection. You can try using a humidifier and having her go into the bathroom with a streamy shower running to alleviate the congestion.
