My dog has a swollen like pimple or cyst on his eye, it’s not bothering him or hurting him but wanted to get an idea of what it could be. I didn’t notice it this morning but noticed before bed tonight

Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. I think this is likely a stye which is localized infection and/or inflammation that occurs in or around the eyelids. It is typically characterized by a red, swollen bump on or near the edge of the eyelid. You can try this at home to see if it clears up: 1. Soak a clean, soft cloth or cotton ball in warm (not hot) water. 2. Gently wring out excess water. 3. Hold the warm compress against your dog's closed eye for 5-10 minutes, several times a day. 4. Be sure the compress is not too hot to avoid burning your dog's skin or eye. Many dogs will not tolerate this but you can try. Sometimes styes have a bacterial component to them so you can also use this eye gel: ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/vetericyn-plus-antimicrobial-pet-eye-gel-for-dogs-3-fl-oz-3760339 ) If at any time it appears worse, he gets more of them, they burst, he starts squinting his eye, etc then you need to take him to your vet for an exam. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
