Hello I have a one year old malshi who weighs 10 pounds. About 9 months ago he was diagnosed with a liver shunt and has been on special kibble ever since. I would like to switch him to an all natural diet that I cook but I’m not sure what to make? Chicken? Green beans? That’s what I’ve read but I’m not sure. Thanks! He is also taking 1 ml of lactulose and .15 ml of metronidazole (liquid form)

Louis needs VERY specific nutrition or else his shunt is going to start causing problems. If you want to make a home made diet, you need to work with a veterinary nutritionist. 99% of diets found on line were found to be unbalanced and this would be very detrimental to Louis. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
