My cat was diagnosed with Horner’s syndrome in December. Multiple rounds of oral and injection antibiotics and injection steroids have not resolved the issue. The cause of the syndrome is unknown. No trauma. She has recently gotten worse, her purring causes her to gulp as if something is stuck in her throat, she is very lethargic and is just as of tonight losing her balance when just standing, (before it was just when she shook her head). Where do I go from here? Her vet has no answers.

Hello. She may have a polyp or growth in the ear canal or oropharynx. This would require sedation and looking with a scope to see if there might be one. Some general practice veterinarians do not perform this diagnostic testing. Perhaps there is a referral clinic near you with the necessary equipment. I would recommend that you request a referral elsewhere from your veterinarian.
