Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask but: I have 2 Yellow-belly slider turtles, both about the size of an adult hand. Their dock (which I got when they were smaller) is no longer big enough for even one of them. I'm having problems finding a dock that will accommodate them both. They are currently in a 60 gallon tank until we upgrade but I want to at least have a good dock for them until then. Should I look into getting 2 separate docks? Or is there another alternative. Thanks

If you're having a hard time finding a dock that is the right size, consider making your own! Very simple designs can be made from PVC pipe and other materials. I have attached a link to a forum that shows several DIY options for building a turtle dock. According to studies done by Zoetis who make Simparica, "In the overdose groups, transient and self-limiting neurological signs were observed in some animals: mild tremors at 3 times the maximum exposure dose and convulsions at 5 times the maximum exposure dose. All dogs recovered without treatment." You don't need to do anything. I hope this helps!

Are these just hairballs my cat is daily throwing up, or is he ingesting something like yarn? He's bad to chew and swallow strange stuff, but we can't find what the source of these might be. You can see that his stomach contents have to come up when these gobs are in there, so he's not getting enough nutrition. One of the pellets shown is pretty solid, and the other is squishy. It is ot possible to identify the source from the photo but your vet may be able to examine to confirm if it is indeed cat hair or synthetic yarn. I would recommend feeding a diet formulated for hair ball reduction for 3-4weeks. A full health check and abdominal xrays would be recommended to rule out any partial obstruction or sooner if there is any weight loss

My puppy is on nextgard but I it looks like there are 2 imbedded ticks on his stomach. Since nextgard works after the tick draws blood, am I just supposed to just wait for them to die?

The photo is a bit blurry so it's hard to tell if that is a tick or just may be a nipple or small mole on the belly. If it is a tick, it should kill any ticks that hop onto the body within 48 hours, however, it should be preventing/killing ticks faster than that if you gave it more than two days ago. If you notice the medication is not helping with severe tick infestations, speaking with your vet about switching to a different product may be beneficial.

Hi, yes it looks like Precious has a wound. It could be an abscess that has opened and is trying to heal. If this is the case, Precious will require the area to be cleaned thoroughly by your veterinarian and might also need antibiotics. Do you have another cat that might have unwillingly caused this ? Hi there, I found a small white-pink bump on my cats belly with a little bare patch of skin. Not sure if it's just a wart. They are currently dealing with fleas which i have been treating, so could it also be a flea scab?
