My cat accidentally took my other cats pills. 2.5mg of methimazole and 1.25mg of prednisolone.

That should not cause any damage or severe toxic effect. I would just monitor him at this stage but I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. Hope this answer was helpful, but please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

My cat had her anal glands expressed yesterday. now she is scooting her but and pooping in small segments all around the house. she also has a URI

I'm sorry but I'm not 100% sure what your question is so I hope I appropriately address you issue. If not, you are welcome to post again. If the anal glands have been expressed it is irritating to the animal so they will often scoot for a couple days after expression. Since it is irritating, they will sometimes poop small amounts like that. The URI should have nothing to do with this issue. They are two separate problems. I do not know what her diet is but I would strongly recommend you use Purina ProPlan Sensitive Skin and Stomach. I have had great luck with this food and issues like this. She is very young to already have anal gland problems and this food may help. You should be able to easily find this food locally. ( https://www.purina.com/pro-plan/cats/sensitive-stomach-skin-cat-food ) Change the diet slowly over about a week's time so that you cause he any GI upset. Start with mostly her old food and a tiny amount of new food and then each day increase the amount of new food and decrease the amount of old food. After 7 days she should be eating all the new food. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Can I give Azo Urinary Tract Health to my cat? I've read d-mannose is used and when looking that up, it brings up the Azo as a choice

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This product is not intended to be given to cats and it can be harmful and also really not helpful. I would avoid starting this for Hiccup. If concerned that she could have a urinary condition, it is always best to have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!

My cat licked some coconut oil out of my hand is that ok her to do or is the coconut oil bad?

Excessive amounts of any fat (such as coconut oil) can cause diarrhea, but coconut oil is not a problem for cats otherwise. In fact, many people recommend feeding coconut oil for a healthy coat since it contains good fats. I hope that was helpful and answered your question. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Hello. I'm a bit concerned my cats gums are too pale. She is playful, has a healthy appetit, 1 year old spayed British longhaired cat. I don't notice any other changes in her behavior, just the pale gums. Please see pictures attached. Many thanks

Hi ! Please don’t worry this pale pink colour is normal for a cat. It’s good that you get her used to have them checked over so you might find it easier to spot any changes in the future. However for cats, it’s always a bit of a challenge even for vets to tell when they are pale as they are normally pale pink. Hope this helps !

My cat is vomiting which looks like blood and foam

This does appear like blood, but I would first want to know if he/she ate anything that was red colored. If she/he did eat something red colored within the past three hours, then I'd assume this is causing this appearance. If not, then it's likely blood, which indicates an esophageal or gastric ulcer. Bleeding from these locations can be dangerous, because they can lose a significant amount of blood in the stomach and intestines. For this reason, we consider this an emergency and recommend a visit to the vet as soon as possible for an accurate diagnosis and treatment. It's not possible to say exactly what is causing this, as there are a few different possibilities. One possibility is that your cat ate something they were not supposed to like medication, a chemical (i.e. antifreeze), or a plant (i.e. lilies). Vomiting is often the first signs of an exposure to a toxin, so I recommend checking if it's possible for your cat to have eaten anything other than the normal diet. Vomiting and nausea can also be due to an infectious disease, organ failure, or imbalance in the blood. In order to narrow down the possibilities, you would have to take your cat to the vet for an evaluation. If you have further questions or need further clarification, then you may consider having an online consult with one of our vets on Boop by Petco. This way, you can send unlimited pictures and have a text conversation with a vet. I hope that helps and your cat gets better soon.

Hi, was cleaning my cats ears with the epiOtic ear cleanser solution by Virbac. And the solution spilled every where. My cat might have licked a little while cleaning himself up and might have gotten it into his eyes.. should I be concerned ?

Hello and thank you for contacting Boop by Petco. Epi-Otic is not dangerous when licked or ingested. However, if it got into Ballball eyes and if he is showing signs of discomfort (rubbing on the eye, squinting) the eye should be rinsed with clean, fresh water.
